Gravity.com operators apply for the registration of the matching mark
Rocketgenius, Inc. DBA Gravity Forms, operators of the premium domain name Gravity.com, have filed for the registration of the matching mark, GRAVITY.COM, with the USPTO.
The application involves a standard character mark for various products and services related to software and technology. It includes application service provider featuring API software, software design and development, and online support and community forums.
Gravity Forms acquired the domain Gravity.com in early 2022 for an undisclosed amount. The company seems to be gearing up to make commercial use of “Gravity” and “Gravity.com” in relation to their services.
Applying for the registration of matching marks has become a trend among owners of generic domain names after the Booking.com trademark application. Many generic domain names have been applied to be registered as trademarks, including the TLD.
As of January 5th, 2021, BOOKING.COM is a registered trademark with the USPTO.
