A Canadian domain investor has won a case against American fundraising services provider Snap! Mobile over the domain name SnapMobile.com. The complainant, Snap! Mobile, claimed rights to the SNAP MOBILE mark but provided no evidence of early use. The respondent, a domain investor based in Canada, stated that they acquired the domain in 2016 for $1,025 and that their business does not infringe on the complainant’s rights. The panelist determined that the complainant brought the case in bad faith and ordered the domain to remain with the respondent. The complainant was also found guilty of engaging in reverse domain name hijacking.
